'American Ninja Warrior' Wraps Up Filming In San Antonio

If you’ve visited downtown at all this week – anywhere near the Bexar County Courthouse you might have noticed the elaborate obstacle course and film crew from NBC’s hit show American Ninja Warrior.

San Antonio was stop No. 2 of the season nine competition. The show wraps up shooting for two, two-hour shows today (Friday). The first episode will air in June.

American Ninja Warrior features contestants called “ninjas” who must make it through a difficult obstacle course. To win you must finish and finish the fastest.

The San Antonio Film Commission secured the show that has 6.9 million viewers per episode. The 10-day visit is expected to bring in some $3.5 million in economic impact.
