It's only November, but Fiesta is already kicking off. On Thursday, leaders with the Fiesta Commission unveiled the official 2013 Fiesta poster by artist Stuart Seal.

Seal's work, "Bridging the Traditions and Cultures of Fiesta," will represent the celebration and marks the start of the season to Fiesta.

"The poster represents our heritage signified by the Rose Window of Mission San Jose which frames Fiesta," said Seal.

The water color, colored-pencil work is reflective of the spark, energy and icons of San Antonio, said Seal.

"Confetti overflows from the Rose Window and becomes a river of revelry and staccato of mirth as it flows through Fiesta, bridging the cultures and traditions," he said.

Then there are the streaming banners that represent the many components of Fiesta. It overlays the events to honor this "Party with a Purpose."

"All 111 events are tied to non-profits and they provide scholarships and fundraise and different things to hundreds and thousands of people across San Antonio," said Seal.

Fiesta Commission CEO John Melleky said a panel narrowed down the artist submissions to three, before finally choosing the winner.

"In the end, we felt that this really celebrated the history and the culture and the spirit of Fiesta,"said Melleky, "especially through the colors and the vibrancy of the poster."

The Fiesta Store's grand opening Nov. 3 will offer the public the chance to purchase the poster. Seal will be on hand for autographs.

Fiesta runs April 18-28.
