The Mexican Consulate in San Antonio, located on Navarro Street.

The Mexican Consulate in San Antonio revealed that 13 Mexican nationals are still receiving treatment for heat-related illnesses in area hospitals after last Sunday's discovery of a deadly smuggling operation.

Out of the 39 people found in the back of a semi-trailer at a South side Walmart parking lot, 34 are Mexican citizens, seven of whom died. Two of the Mexican nationals involved are minors and 14 Mexican citizens, while not in the hospital, remain in the custody and care of U.S. Marshals as witnesses.

Names have not yet been released, but the consulate is offering hospital escorts to undocumented family members who wish to see loved ones who are receiving treatment.

Not all of the people found in the trailer are of Mexican nationality or heritage, withreports citingthat at least six Guatemalans were also involved.

As of Wednesday, 13 unnamed individuals have been formally charged in the federal court case against the trailer's driver, James Matthew Bradley, Jr., according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
