Democrat Pete Gallego is in a tight race to win back the U.S. Congressional District 23 seat he lost to Republican Will Hurd two years ago. Before Election Day, Texas Public Radio asked both candidates to discuss the values and experience that guide their decisions. Former Congressman Gallego, from Alpine, says a family history of activism and belief in education drive him to public service.
