One in 79 people in San Antonio and the surrounding area have some form of autism, according to a first-ever study about the prevalence of autism that was released earlier this year.
Autism is a neuro-developmental disorder characterized by impaired social interaction, verbal and non-verbal communication, and restrictive and repetitive behavior.
A groundbreaking new online resource, Autism Life Links, is now available for people with autism and their families. The website, a collaboration between community agencies, seeks to serve Bexar County and the surrounding area.
