The Source: Should County Cut Funds To Constables?

There are Four Bexar County Constables - can you name yours?

There's one for each county precinct. Their duties are spelled out in the Texas Constitution of 1876.

But they aren't prohibited from taking on additional law enforcement duties - and that's what has happened in Bexar County.

They question is - is that a problem?

The county says it can save a lot of money by cutting the budget for the constables - but what would that mean for public safety.

Guests:

  • Kevin Wolff, Precinct 3 County Commissioner
  • Mark Vojvodich, Precinct 3 Constable
