Every year 658 people die across the country from overheating and as the summer heats up we are all at risk of feeling the effects. Texas, California and Arizona make up 40 percent of all heat-related deaths. What can we do about it? Who is at risk?
Caitlin Cervenka from Catholic Charities and Project Cool joins us to answer questions about their prevention program along with Dr. Gillian Schmitz, associate director of the Department of Emergency Medicine at the UT Health Science Center.
In the second segment:
The state house is passing bills regarding abortion restrictions and we will check in with TPR's Ryan Poppe to get an update on the special session of the legislature.
