Video: Miguel Del Aguila Featured With Olmos Ensemble

John Clare / Texas Public Radio

This weekend kicks off the first of two concerts for the Olmos Ensemble. Led by oboist Mark Ackerman, the nineteen year old chamber group, will feature "Sizzlin' Latin American/Spanish Music" this Sunday at the First Unitarian Universalist Church in San Antonio.

Several guests are on the program including Grammy nominated composer Miguel del Aguila. "It started with some emails," says del Aguila. "San Antonio is a great place - there are so many good musicians, audiences, they get my music!" Audiences will hear three works of Miguel's including his latest composition, Silence, written in memory of his youngest brother.
