Cyber security specialist and former councilwoman Leticia Ozuna is in the business of secret-keeping. She knew it was only a matter of time before the remarks about her family that were made by Councilwoman Elisa Chan and her staff in a recording released by a former staffer became public.
Here's part of it, from the Express-News audio:
Jeff Bazan (former chief of policy to Chan): "That's why, for example, Councilwoman Ozuna is still married to that lady because that lady was born a man. So that marriage is still valid in the State of Texas."
Voters will head to the polls on Saturday, May 11, and the race for the District 3 seat is getting tense. The seat's current occupant, Leticia Ozuna, did not win the seat by election. She was appointed in January 2012 to fulfill Jennifer Ramos' term.
Ramos left the city council to focus on a campaign for Bexar County Commissioner Precinct 1 a race that she ultimately lost.
The plan to connect San Antonio’s Missions from the Alamo to Mission Espada has been ongoing since the mid-1990’s. This portion of the project--called package 4 and 5--will repair streets and add pedestrian and bike routes along Mission Road to Roosevelt Avenue.
