Hispanic Chamber Delegation Seeking To Attract Jobs On Spain Trip

The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's annual trip to Spain is to maintain strong ties and perhaps attract some new business.

The San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce headed to Spain this weekend with a large delegation to talk about the business sense of San Antonio.

The 2013 Spain Trade Mission delegation includes two city council members, the Bexar County manager, the honorary consul of Spain in San Antonio, and 20 other business leaders including the vice-president of corporate banking of BBVA Compass bank.

Business leaders, along with officials from the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, target certain projects and issues every year as Congress starts looking at new legislation.

Hispanic Chamber Joins Greater San Antonio Chamber To Advocate In Washington

The annual SA-to-DC trip is underway this week with local leaders advocating for San Antonio
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

This year’s SA-to-DC trip is underway this week, with representatives from San Antonio chambers of commerce joining together with city leaders to advocate for issues important to the community.

The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has been making this trip for 35 years as a way to represent the whole community before Congress and military leadership.

Of ten committees, the Hispanic Chamber is most interested in making contacts for small business, immigration and trade. President Ramiro Cavazos said there are many good arguments for comprehensive immigration reform:
