How To Keep Tuition & Fees From Climbing On Your Child's Academic Future

The state’s prepaid college tuition program known as the Texas Tuition Promise Fund began its open enrollment this month.

This is the sixth year for the fund that gives parents the opportunity to lock in tomorrow's college tuition costs at Texas public colleges and universities at today's prices.

Families can purchase one of three types of  prepaid "tuition units" that are later applied toward undergraduate tuition and fees. Prices are based on 2013-14 academic year costs for the state’s public colleges.

A&M OKs $450M Remodel Of Kyle Field Into Texas' Biggest Stadium

Update: The Texas A&M Board of Regents approved the university’s $450 million plan to redevelop Kyle Field into the biggest stadium in Texas (by seating capacity). Demolition work on the existing stadium is slated to begin in November this year, with plans for a grand opening in time for the 2015 football season.

$91 Million Vaccine Manufacturing Facility Coming To Texas A&M

Gov. Perry hosted the announcement at Texas A&M, his alma mater

Texas is the next expansion state for the development of flu vaccines, thanks to a $91 million federally-funded program.

GlaxoSmithKline will use the facility at Texas A&M to work on the next generation of flu vaccines, based on a trademarked proprietary cell-culture line instead of using fertilized chicken eggs.
