Storms Wreck Homes, Businesses Throughout North Texas

Communities outside of Granbury and Cleburne are also reeling from last night’s chain of powerful storms.

Dozens of buildings in the City of Ennis were damaged, including businesses in the central downtown area. Lt. David Anthony with the Ennis Police Department says one elderly woman was hit with flying debris and taken to the hospital as a precaution. As far as he knows, her injuries are minor.

Hispanics Enrolling In College At Higher Rate Than Whites

A record number of Hispanic high school graduates enrolled in college last fall outpacing their white counterparts, according to a new report by the Pew Research Center.

Using U.S. Census data, the study found that seven in 10 Hispanic students, or 69 percent, who graduated in 2012 went on to college compared to 67 percent of white students.

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins Believes County's Same-Sex Benefits Plan Legal

Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins believes the county's same-sex benefits plan approved last fall is legal, despite Monday's opinion from the Texas Attorney General that said local governments and school districts offering marriage benefits to same sex partners violate the state constitution.
