San Antonio Police Officers Association Endorses Taylor For Mayor

The San Antonio Police Officers Association has endorsed Mayor Ivy Taylor for reelection.  Taylor is locked in a June 10 runoff battle with District 8 Councilman Ron Nirenberg.

District 6 Councilman Ray Lopez will max out his term limits on the San Antonio City Council this year.

The 2017 municipal election drew 116,000 Bexar County voters on May 6. That's about 11 percent of the county's registered voters. Voters age 65 and over cast 45 percent of the ballots, more than double any other age group, according to data from the Bexar County Elections Administration.

The campaign of District 2 runoff candidate William "Cruz" Shaw declined to participate in this forum.

Settled near San Antonio's urban core, the lively and diverse District 2 largely covers the city's East side.
