20 Years Later, Mission Trail Project Nears Completion

The plan to connect San Antonio’s Missions from the Alamo to Mission Espada has been ongoing since the mid-1990’s. This portion of the project--called package 4 and 5--will repair streets  and add pedestrian and bike routes along Mission Road to Roosevelt Avenue.

American Airlines Pilots Approve Deal

By an overwhelming 74 percent margin, American Airlines pilots have voted to ratify the tentative contract hammered out with the bankrupt carrier. Voting ended Friday at noon.

Connecting San Antonio: South Leon Creek Greenway Opens

Residents near Rodriguez County Park and Wolff Stadium can now jump on their bikes or hike along a new two-mile trail called the South Leon Creek Greenway.

District 6 City Councilman Ray Lopez said the $2.6 million addition the city’s greenway system is another way for San Antonians to adopt a healthy lifestyle.

"It’s going to give our folks an opportunity to come out here and exercise," Lopez said. "As you know, San Antonio has been notorious for making a very bad list about being unhealthy."
