2015 Spring Pledge Drive Makes History

Apr 13, 2015

Texas Public Radio listeners made history this week, raising over $595,000 by the close of day on Monday, April 13 to make the Spring 2015 Pledge Drive the shortest on-air campaign in the organization’s history.

Each year since 2006, Texas Public Radio has featured a t-shirt newly designed by a local artist as a thank-you gift. We are breaking with that tradition this year to honor two previous contributors: Chuck Ramirez and Robert Rehm.

In 2007, Chuck Ramirez’s pop-art infused coffee cup spilled its TPR goodness across the front of our ringer tee. To honor his contributions to the local art community, and his support of TPR, we are again presenting his design, this time on a natural-colored apron perfect for outdoor grilling (and coffee drinking).

Support TPR And The Food Bank

San Antonio Food Bank

As we move closer to the holiday season, the strain on the San Antonio Food Bank becomes even greater.

It’s a time when kids won’t be getting, meals at school and many seniors are choosing between having to pay for utilities or buying food.

That's why a generous donor has stepped forward to help support TPR and the San Antonio Food Bank.

Plant A Tree With Your Pledge

You may consider the San Antonio River one of the many treasures of our region.

At TPR, we certainly do, and have partnered with the San Antonio River Authority to help restore a 3.4 acre site along the river with native, wildlife-friendly and sustainable trees, grasses, wildflowers and shrubs. [See map below]
